How to Really Know Someone, Vol. 8

Well well, I haven’t actually done this in a while. And by a while, I meant since May of 2018—wow, almost two years ago. It really has been a long time. So, I wrote a draft of this post last last week and I intended to have it published last week, but you know, things happen, brains get sidetracked. Yadah yadah yadah.

Anyway, let’s get on with this then.

50. Do you think someone could love more than one person at once?
Of course. Unless you’re some kind of a psychopath, I know that any person is more than capable of loving more than one person.

However, if this is referring to being in love with someone, then I’m not sure. I don’t really practice polyamory so I can’t say, from experience, if that’s possible. But I suppose it is.

51. When did you start discovering your music taste? What was it?
Okay, this is a bit of an adventure in self-discovery. Back in elementary, it was a mix between “old school” (The Beatles, America, Bread, Chicago, etc) and pop (Britney, Backstreet Boys, etc).

But then in high school, I discovered the wonders of rock music—everything from OPM rock to metal and grunge rock. When I got older, I shifted towards Indie and that’s what stuck.

I still do listen to a bit of pop and old school and rock but currently, I’m more into the likes of The Lagoons, Ivory Waves, Mt. Joy, Tim Atlas, etc.

52. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Oh, this absolutely depends. If it’s free-time from work (like taking a mandatory break), I usually just go outside and smoke. Back when I was still working in an office, I’d go talk to my work friends or listen to some music alone.

Now that I’m working at home, though, free time just means time when I’m not working or don’t feel like working. I sometimes mindlessly browse social media but more recently, I’ve been spending a bulk of my time reading.

53. If you could use a voodoo doll to hurt anyone you chose, would you?
Well, I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’m some kind of saint and tell you no because in all honesty, I would. I really would.

54. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
A lot. But at the top of my list would be speak French. I’ve always been fascinated by the language but do not have the patience or the brain storage to actually learn it.

55. What’s your greatest accomplishment so far?
Is it sad that my answer is I don’t know?

56. Describe the ultimate hell.
I’m gonna go for the cliché and stereotypical answer here and say that the ultimate hell for me is a place that’s so excruciatingly hot. Since I’m easily annoyed by heat (begs the question why I’m still here in the Philippines), that would basically be hell for me.

Here are the questions, in case you’re interested in doing this yourself. / Background of featured image from Unsplash.

  1. I think it’s okay to say you don’t know what your greatest accomplishment so far yet. Pero kahit ‘yung simpleng “living” it’s a big achievement na rin so goods ka na dun Ate! 💖
