I didn’t do much of one single thing lately and I’m kind of okay with that. I read less but I wrote more (hence the number of posts that have been published this month, excluding this one). I also caught up with many of the TV shows that I’ve been following for months and years and have started on a few ones with three that I absolutely love.
So this month’s roundup are simply highlights of my March — no yays and nahs or tops and bottoms.
ON BOOKS/READING
I didn’t do as much reading this month as I did back in February but I still managed to finish reading 8 books and I added one on my DNF list (ugh, fucking Robert Galbraith).
I’m extremely proud that I finally caught up with every single Colleen Hoover novel and I’m just waiting for the release of her newest one which will happen later this year. I’m also happy about a few reads (aside from those by CoHo) which are:
Again, if you’re interested to know what I’ve read this year so far, check out my 2018 reading challenge page. I update that almost as immediately as I finish reading a book and I also put in my rating so you at least know how I feel about the book.
ON TV SHOWS
Like I mentioned earlier, I loved three of the new shows that I started watching this month and yes, they truly are amazing.
For the People is about these new lawyers — public defenders and prosecutors — and their lives and the cases that they’re handling and the people that they’re defending. If you know me, then you’d know how much of a lawyer show sucker I am so I’m totally happy about this. (Read: How to Get Away with Murder, Suits, and Justice — which was a cancelled show, sadly.)
Plus, it’s produced by Shondaland which makes it, ugh, even more right up my alley. And Britt Robertson’s one of the leads.
Life Sentence, on the other hand, is about this woman who was diagnosed with cancer as a girl and has already learned to live with it. But on the day of her “funeral”, her doctor informed her that she is then completely cured of cancer — not in remission, but actually cured. So she has to learn to live her life normally again which she doesn’t really know how to do having been sick for almost half her life.
It’s got drama, humor, and it’s got Lucy Hale which, to me, would always be Aria but well, she was amazing as Stella here, too, so I’m not complaining.
Everything Sucks! is one that I already wrote about so I’m not going to elaborate on it. But I will say that it annoys me that I’d have to wait a full year for the second season. Screw you, Netflix. Sometimes, you’re just annoyingly amazing.
Also, if you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend this show. Especially if you have a fascination over the ’90s and anything that makes you feel nostalgic.
ON MOVIES
I sadly only got to watch two movies this month but fortunately, both were amazing. I already wrote about the other one (Veronica) and already have an unfinished draft for the other (I, Tonya).
Hopefully, I could watch more films next month.
ON BEAUTY
Well, I did purchase quite a number of lipsticks this month from ColourPop but since I ordered them from the US, they are yet to arrive here in the PH. So I can’t really share anything here about those yet.
I will say though that I am terribly excited to try out the Lux Lipsticks from ColourPop. I have watched and read dozens of reviews on this line and they’re all positive which means I am expecting a lot and omfg, I am super excited! (Squealing like a teenage girl in my head right now.)
ON BLOGGING
As you have probably noticed, I have posted more this month than any other month before and I don’t know how it happened but it just did and I’m really happy about it.
I’m planning on doing another #30DaysOfWriting challenge for the month of April but let’s see how it goes then. I’m not sure how to go about this yet because I really wanna catch up on my reading.
ON EVERYTHING ELSE IN MY LIFE
Nothing new, really. Not much has happened to me this month and it’s pretty uneventful and I think I’m okay with that.
The only bummer news is the fact that Uber has been bought by Grab and I prefer Uber over Grab any day so this news annoys me. But let’s pile this on things that I can’t do anything about so I’m going to move on and leave it be list.
And there it is. Over and done with yet another month (although there’s still a day left) and before we know it, it’s another year again. Time’s flying by insanely fast; I can’t keep up.
I loved the fist season of Everything Sucks! I was researching if there would be a second season, I couldn’t find anything. I can’t believe we have to wait a whole year.

Same! I can’t wait for another year, too, but ugh, Netflix just has to be annoying. 😦 But I think Netflix did renew the show for a second season.

I am certainly convinced that you are not human! How can you read so many books that fast and still keep a job?

Hahahaha. Para mas mawindang ka pa, I’m already on my 2nd book this month. Finished my first earlier today. :p Also, feeling ko it’s because di ako nagseseryoso sa trabaho ko tapos bahala na masermonan ng manager. LOL

I’m planning to read at least 15 this month. Hopefully, I can actually do it. 😅😉 Uhm, I highly recommend Between You and Me by Lisa Hall ☺️

YAAAAS SERIES RECS. ❤ Now that I’ve given up on most DC TV series (not even my crush on Grant Gustin can redeem The Flash anymore, tbh), I’m actively searching for other stuff to watch. That hopefully isn’t superhero themed because with all the Marvel films I plan on rewatching this month, baka magsawa na ako. Haha. The ones you’ve mentioned seem like a good place to start. 😊

I’ve never liked any of those superhero series. I find them really dull and boring. 😅 I like a lot of crime shows. And if you’re into those, I also recommend The Blacklist. It’s really goooood!!! But if you’re into like girl-y stuff but talks about a lot about relevant issues (like bullying, LGBTQ+, racism, etc) then I’d recommend The Bold Type.
Sobrang adik ko na ata sa series, di ko na alam how I’d keep up with all of them. Tapos lagi pa ko nagsstart ng bago. Hahaha
