A Look Back at the Ever-So-Fancy Le Blush Crème de Chanel

I don’t know about you but there’s just something about Chanel products that makes them so fucking luxurious and grand, you just want to lust all over (and maybe lick) their expensive asses.

Despite the sumptuous feel and look of every single Chanel product that I have seen, I only have two items in my stash because fuck those goddamn expensive price tags.

I have a lipstick and this blush (Intonation) here and while I’m not too fond of the lipstick (because it’s the kind of matte that I don’t want and prefer but the packaging of it is beyond words), this blush is ugh, amazing. Everything about it just screams luxury—simple, yet elegant!

I’m not the biggest fan of cream blushes—granted, I’ve only ever tried one other cream blush before this, but still. I find them (including liquid cheek tints and liquid blushes) very hard to work with and extremely difficult to blend. Plus, they tend to move whatever product I’ve already applied underneath (like my foundation and concealer).

But my mind was completely changed after this. It’s pigmented enough and easy to blend so you won’t have to worry about looking like you have pepperonis or splotches of red/pink/coral on your cheeks. It’s also long-lasting and does not move my base makeup during application.

And can we talk about the packaging? — so gloriously beautiful, right? But then again, I expect no less from a brand like Chanel.

I haven’t used this in about a year and a half, I think, and just went back to it the other day but it surprisingly still works great. I’m scared for its shelf life, though, so I always wipe with a makeup wipe the top of the product after every use and then I make sure that I use a clean brush each time. It’s just a tedious cycle for a lazy-ass bitch like me so while I do love this a lot, I don’t reach for it that often because of that.

(Makes you think what else I don’t do or use because of my laziness. LOL.)

If anything, I’m just glad that I have it to keep around in my drawer— help it look pretty and all. :p

Rustan’s Beauty Department Store for PHP2,150 (not sure if they’ve changed the price as I purchased this in late 2015)

    1. Yes! The simplicity just makes it even more special! I’m not a fan of cream blushes, too, and I’ve actually tried other cream blushes after this but nothing performed quite like this. 😐
